entered Lagos?
Things you need to know about Ebola Virus to
stay SAFE…
1. It is a Central African disease that has traveled
over countries in a living host to West Africa. It is
easily spread by physical contact and eating
contaminated bush meat. Major hosts are in 5
species of Bats but monkeys and apes are easily
infected and killed.
2. It kills in a week, leaving no time to treat an
individual.
3. It has no known vaccine or cure
4. Known cases have been experienced recently in
Guniea, Liberia and Central Africa Rep, spreading
eastwards and westwards towards Nigeria. Death toll
so far in West Africa is over 100.
5. The Ebola outbreak of 2014 is the most
challenging one witnessed in Africa.
What we can do?
1. Avoid eating any bush meat for now! Especially
Apes and Bats.
2. Wash your hands as regularly as possible,
especially after shaking a stranger. It is spread by
contact.
3.The most straightforward prevention method
during Ebola outbreaks is not touching patients, their
excretions, and body fluids, or possibly contaminated
materials and utensils. Patients should be isolated,
and medical staff should be trained and apply strict
barrier nursing techniques (disposable face mask,
gloves, goggles, and a gown at all times).
Traditional burial rituals, especially those requiring
embalming of bodies, should be discouraged or
modified.

Kim Kardashian Look-Alike Claire Leeson Spent More Than $30,000 on Plastic Surgery: Pictures

Claire Leeson is clearly keeping up with Kim Kardashian. The Essex, England resident told ITV's This Morning on Monday, July 14, that she has spent nearly £20,000 ($30,000) on plastic surgery to mimic the reality TV superstar's face and body.

"When I get my Kimmy on I feel like I'm unstoppable," Leeson, 24, told the program.

Her obsession began back in 2009, when she first watched Kardashian's popular E! reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians. "I was told every day that I was the 'ugliest thing alive' and I should kill myself," Leeson recalled of being bullied. "When I left school, friends would tell me that I had a resemblance to Kim. I watched [Keeping Up] and realized I had the same amount of siblings and that we have the same kind of arguments and things going on. I thought she was so beautiful and I really wanted to be like her."

Manchester United could be set out to miss out on Porto defender Nicolas Otamendi amid rumours that he could move to Russia or the Ukraine, according to talkSPORT.
The aforementioned source speculates that Zenit St. Petersburg are admirers of the Argentine international, with the Russian transfer window due to close on February 24. And with the Ukrainian window open until March, talkSPORT suggest that Porto could look to sell him soon.

Woody Allen’s adopted daughter recalls years of sexual abuse by the legendary director

On Saturday February 1st, New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof published on his blog an open letter written by Dylan Farrow, the adopted daughter of actress Mia Farrow and legendary Hollywood film director Woody Allen.

The 28 year old who is now married described in vivid and horrifying detail how Allen sexually molested her from age 7. Dylan recalled how her abuse started and how it went on for a while. She then talks about her difficulties growing up with almost no one believing her, a victim, and everyone loving and praising Allen, a molester.

Farrow split from Allen in 1992 when she found out he was having an affair with another daughter, Soon-Yi who she adopted from Korea in 1978. She reported the sexual relationship between Allen and Soon-Yi and also filed charges that Allen had molested their daughter Dylan, then 7 years old.  Allen denied the charges and was never prosecuted. Allen went on to marry Soon Yi in 1997.

Nigerian Airports to have Hi-tech explosive detectors - FG

In a bid to boost safety and security measures in Nigeria's airports, the Federal Ministry of Aviation has acquired Hi-tech three-in-one explosive detectors for 15 out of the 22 airports in the country. The facilities would be capable of detecting liquid, metals and explosives during airport screening.

 

Announcing this new development yesterday, spokesman for the Aviation Ministry, Mr Yakubu Dati said that the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja and the Muritala Mohammed International Airports in Lagos already have the facilities installed, while other airports are in the process of having theirs fully installed. Good news!

Ex Miss Venezuela/Telemundo actress & ex shot dead in Venezuela

Former Miss Venezuela 2004 and popular telenovela actress, Monica Spear, 29, and her ex-husband Thomas Berry, 39, were shot dead in their car on a highway in Venezuela by armed robbers in front of their 5 year old daughter on Monday January 6th, local news reports.
