The Brazilian teenager - regarded as a 'wonderkid' - is believed to have
cost around €6.2 million, having completed a medical and agreed
personal terms with the club on Monday.
Chelsea have confirmed the signing of attacking midfielder Nathan from Atletico Paranaense.
The Brazil Under-20 international is believed to have cost around £4.5 million, and shared an Instagram picture on Monday of him apparently signing his contract with the Blues.
The club have now confirmed the signing, and Nathan has expressed his delight at completing the move.
"I am very happy to be joining Chelsea, the champions of England, and I
hope I will be able to learn a lot and develop my game," he told the
club's official website.
Nathan scored five goals in five games
at the Under-17 World Cup in 2013 and was also named in the team of the
tournament, with the 19-year-old now set to continue his career at
Stamford Bridge.
Reports have also suggested that he could soon
be joined by his Brazilian team-mate Kenedy, who has also been heavily
linked with a move to the club.
